Digital Stereo Paintings
by Theo Prins

The 3D Center of Art & Photography is proud to present an exhibition featuring the work of artist Theo Prins.

Prins' latest collection was inspired during his travels over the past two years to Seoul, South Korea as well as Saigon, Hanoi, Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Vietnam and Thailand.

This exhibit features 14 digital paintings produced using a Wacom pen and tablet in Photoshop.

Prins says he starts each piece by "creating an abstract mess of textures allowing anything to happen." By doing this, he says he sets himself up for the accidental discovery of composition.

"Loosely defined shapes and textures begin to emerge as buildings, streets, market stalls and people."
